| Summary, etc | RESUMEN: El realismo corresponde a la postura filosófica que sostiene que los fenómenos exis-ten de manera independiente de la conciencia del sujeto. En materia contable, éste existe en la medida en que las organizaciones intentan representar la realidad. Este trabajo tuvo como objetivo analizar dicha representación respecto de las propiedades, planta y equipo en las entidades del gobierno general, considerando las posturas del realismo contable. Dicho análisis se efectúo desde una perspectiva crítico-interpreta-tiva en la que adquiere relevancia el método hermenéutico. Como resultado, el proce-so investigativo permitió evidenciar algunas antinomias en la emisión de estándares de contabilidad que generan importantes tensiones entre las posturas del realismo y la regulación contable. Lo anterior afecta la adecuada medición, reconocimiento y revelación de los hechos económicos, financieros, sociales y ambientales, distorsio-nando la realidad que se pretende reflejar. |
