| Summary, etc | Resumen Los inquilinatos no son una nueva forma de habitar, simplemente con el nacimiento de la ciudad moderna y la industrialización, estos se hacen más visibles y se incrementan como una lógica alternativa a los problemas causados por el déficit habitacional. Los inquilinatos tampoco son un producto exclusivo de las ciudades latinoamericanas, ya que existen de múltiples formas y tipologías en el mundo. Este artículo además de hacer un breve recorrido histórico de la presencia de los inquilinatos en Medellín, también invita a pensar este fenómeno, no como un mal que aqueja la ciudad, sino más bien como una solución de vivienda, la cual debe mejorarse para el bien de quienes la habitan y la ciudadanía en general. El acto de habitar, es el mismo acto de desplegar la vida en una morada y de arropar los sueños en el calor que esta ofrece. Es necesario visibilizar esta manera de habitar, para lograr la mejora y dignificación de estos espacios con los cuales la memoria de la ciudad tiene una deuda histórica. |
